DANCE MINOR

The Dance Minor is an 18 hour program. It is designed to prepare pre-professional dancers in a dynamic environment conducive to the highest caliber of both practice and scholarship. The Dance Minor offers a foundation in dance techniques, dance history, composition, and performance. An audition is required for entrance into the program.


AUDITION REQUIREMENTS FOR DANCE MINOR

Auditions for SPRING 2010 will be held October 25th and 26th, 2009.

Auditions for FALL 2010 will be held February 28th and March 1st, 2010.

For each round of auditions please choose only one of the above dates to attend.

All auditions begin promptly at 7:00pm in Studio 1 in the Tech Center. There is NO pre-registration. Please arrive early and be prepared to learn a Jazz and Ballet combination. A Tap Dance display is optional.

All prospective students must prepare and provide the following:

  • An 8 X 10 Black and White Headshot
  • Resumé
  • Dancewear including dance shoes (ballet slippers or jazz oxfords) for dance audition
  • Experienced tap dancers should bring tap shoes
